Ultra Cycling from Shah Alam to Sungai Petani canceled

 

 

 

 

 

 My Ultra Cycling plan from Shah Alam to Sungai Petani,Kedah 27 hours,400km from 24-25/5/2012 had to be canceled due to the weather and time.I and three other friends make decision ride until Seri Manjung Town for our last stop point.We hope we can do the same thing with more better preparation for another ride.We just complete our ride 200km at Sri Manjung Town,take around 16 hours ride include rest rime.Here want to say thanks to Radio Amatur Kuala Lumpur (RAKL),Persatuan Radio Amatur Melayu Malaysia (ASTRA) because give permision to use their radio frekunsi for inform our stop point and if have emergency.Also thanks to P.D.R.M (traffic Shah Alam) sent the traffic motorcycle to escort us untill Bukit Raja junction around 6km.Also a lot of thanks to our HAM friends at Sri Manjung help us for our lodging.And finally want to say million thanks to everyone  give the support to us for this Ultra Cycling.

Langkawi Island Leasure Bicycle Touring

Waiting our train at KL Sentral with friends Azizan Zolkipli and Farred Mercury.

All  ready in train but this man always late and just catch the train at Tanjung Malim KTM Station.Allways with peace Ah Chong...hehehe....

We start ride from Kubur Panjang,Pendang to Kuala Kedah Jetty.Around 32km....

Ride cross the paddy fields,weather windy and a bit hot!!

We found the steel bridges have a mark Tubewrights Ltd. Liverpool..cross the canal.

Now is harvest time for paddy,that why it's look yellow.You can see the harvest machine and lorry near by the mosque..

After ride around 32km and take 1 1/2 hours we arrive at Kuala Kedah Jetty and we pay RM23.00 for adult fare and RM15.00 for our bicycle fare...

I'm use Millet Level 15L for this cycling trip.Very light and comfort suitable for day pack tracking,travel etc..it's also can fold becouse come without frame.
